Perhaps prayer is simply surrendering to a deeper reality within. This week’s gospel reading is about prayer, something that contemporary Christians often struggle with. Is prayer begging? Is it an attempt to convince God to give us what we need? Do we have to be holy to do it? Actually, prayer is very natural and we often do it without being aware that we are doing it. With some poetry, some contemporary music, some hymns, and some preaching and practice that moves the balance from prophetic to pastoral a smidge this week, we’ll engage the world of prayer and meditation.
